The Mixo-Dorian Song

This playful blues etude introduces the Mixolydian and Dorian modes, which are frequently used in blues music. The Mixolydian mode is like the major scale with a flat seven. The Dorian mode is like the natural minor scale with a raised six. These two modes are often used together, or even blended, to create more sophisticated blues melodies and improvisations.

Chord symbols and suggested fingerings are included in the score.
