This lyrical piano solo is a beautiful hybrid of classical and contemporary styles. The A section begins with broken triads and a simple, syncopated motif. The B section introduces a second motif, and then the final A section combines the two ideas. The 2026 version is faster, adds more texture to the B section, and has a flashier ending.
This is a great piece for early-intermediate players. Students love it, and teachers find it very useful for teaching broken chords, arpeggios, wrist circles, and rotation. In addition, the motifs, patterns, and sequences make it easy to learn and teach.
